So, back in 2021, I had this wild idea to start IanReads.com. You know, to give my GoodReads account a bit more pizzazz and dive deeper into book reviews. I mean, why limit myself to those basic GoodReads constraints, am I right?
I’m a bit of a bookworm, chomping through 25-30 books a year. I love me some Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Space Operas. But get this – I recently stumbled upon LitRPG, and it’s like a whole new world! Oh, and sometimes I’ll dabble in YA, especially when I’m stuck in traffic and need something to keep me entertained.
Now, onto my favorites! Terry Goodkind’s The Sword Of Truth series? Absolute gold. And who could forget the classic, The Giver by Lois Lowry? That book had me hooked as a kid! These days, my favourite stand alone book would be Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay – talk about a masterpiece. And don’t even get me started on Dean Koontz – that guy knows how to keep you up at night!
But wait, there’s more! This year, I’ve been getting my hands on Advanced Reader Copies (ARCs, if you’re fancy) thanks to BookSirens. Don’t worry, though – I’ll always let you know if a review is from one of those.
